I’m nervous about sending my book to you in case you don’t like it or think it’s rubbish. Can you give me some reassurance that you’ll be gentle with me?

I will always give you lots of reassurance throughout. I want you to feel confident that whatever you send will be treated with respect and looked after as if I’d written it myself.

Do you edit all genres of fiction books?

Generally, yes, although I may draw the line at anything I find to be morally unacceptable. Having said that, it depends on the context it’s written in, so it’s always best to make sure I’m aware of anything controversial before I start.

Do you edit all genres of nonfiction books?

Again, generally, yes, I do. Though controversial books may need to be discussed!

How will you edit my book?

I edit on screen and use Microsoft Word’s Track Changes. This will allow you to accept or reject the changes I’ve made to the document and also view additional comments and suggestions in the sidebar. If you are unfamiliar with Track Changes, I will be able to help you with this.

What is your turnaround time?

This can vary depending on the standard of writing and the length of your manuscript, but I aim to have your edited manuscript back to you within 2-3 weeks.

How are payments made?

I accept payments via Bank Transfer, PayPal, or Xoom. I do not accept eCheques. If none of these options are available to you, this can be discussed further. I generally send an invoice to you along with your edited manuscript and expect payment to be made in full within 5 days of that date. Ghostwriting projects do require a deposit, which can be discussed. As mentioned in the Editing Services section, manuscripts under 20k words are charged at my hourly rate.

Can I pay in instalments?

Of course!  You can pay weekly or monthly and, as such, your book can be completed within a time frame to suit your financial situation. Ghostwriting projects are usually paid by instalments.

I have a few more questions. How can I contact you?
